Levels

You’ve just started? You’ve only been dancing for 6 months? You’ve been dancing for years?
There’s something for everyone:

I’m not sure which level to choose.

This is the idea we’ve got for the levels. We’re sure you’re going to learn anyway, but our advice would be to choose the level carefully.

If the classes are alike, you’ll get more out of them!

Intermediate

Minimum knowledge to enter this level:

You can dance with different tempos. The swing out is within your comfort zone and you begin to experiment in your dance with rhythmic variations. Jazz solo is not a stranger to you.

Minimum time dancing: from 6 months to 1 year and a half.

If you are a student at the school and you have finished P4 or do intermediate, this is your level.

Faqs

When does the festival start?

The Festival starts on Friday morning. Registration will be from 10 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. There will be classes during the day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We will put the schedules later.

When does the Festival end?

Sunday 5/06 at 10pm

I can't make it to check-in time ...

Do not worry, we will set other registration times during the day of Friday

What time will the classes be?

There are 6 hours of class for each level, apart from the tasters.
The distribution of hours is: 2 hours a day for 3 days.

If the apartments are for 4 people, how will the distribution be done?

If you come with friends, you can put us in comments with whom you want to share the apartment. To be able to put you together, it is necessary that all the people are registered.

What if I have my pass and finally can't go?

There will be no changes or refunds. You can pass your pass to someone else. This is common at Swing festivals.

I am a single Follower. Is there a spot for me?

We have a few Follower single spots for each level. If they run out, we'll put you on the waiting list. At the moment when a place is released, we will notify you in order. You will have to hurry to get your pass :-)

Is there a Solo Jazz pass?

Not at the moment, but we do not rule out opening a Solo Jazz group, depending on the demand. If you are interested, write us an email to info@springandswing.com.

How do I get to Platja d’Aro by car?

The drive takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
There is free parking at the Hotel.
If you have free places in your car and you would like to offer those places to take someone who does not have a car, later on we will enable a way for you to offer this / these places.

How do I get to Platja d’Aro by public transport?

A few weeks before the Festival, we will create a way for you to share a car. Get in touch with the people who have a car and places to take someone, and the people who would like to arrive by car from Barcelona or Girona.
If you go by public transport, there is the number 1 bus that leaves from Barcelona airport or Estació del Nord, and stops at Platja d’Aro.

From the center of Platja d’Aro to the hotel it takes about 15 minutes on foot.

Monday 06/06 is a Holiday in Spain. I would like to stay at the Hotel on Sunday night.

Great, we can manage your extra stay. When you have your pass, send us an email and we will give you more information.
